Humans working alongside AI is not necessarily the future of work. In many cases, AI will work alongside humans first, and then take over some of the tasks humans currently perform. AI doesn't necessarily need to eliminate your entire job to reduce the amount of human labor required. If your job consists of 20 tasks and AI can reliably perform 12 of them, your employer may still need you, but potentially needs fewer people, fewer hours, or different skills.
